About this task
To commit a file to a WORM state, you must apply the read-only setting. If a file is already set to a read-only state, you must first remove the file from a read-only state and then return it to a read-only state.
- In Windows Explorer, navigate to the file you want to commit to a WORM state.
- Right-click the folder and then click Properties.
- In the Properties window, click the General tab.
- Select the Read-only check box, and then click OK.
