Help on File System > SmartQuotas > Quotas & Usage
The following information and controls are available at
.- Storage Quotas & Usage
- Displays a statistical summary of storage quotas on the cluster.
- Create a storage quota
- Enables you to define a new storage quota, which includes the following settings:
SettingOptionsRequiredQuota type
- Directory quota
- Set storage limits on a directory.
- User quota
- Set storage limits on data from a specific user or all users. Specific-user quotas take precedence over a default user quota.
- Group quota
- Set storage limits on all members of a specific group or all members of a default group (every group). Any specific-group quotas that you configure take precedence over a default group quota. Associating a group quota with a default group quota creates a linked quota.
YesPathBrowse to a specific directory path below /ifs. The directory and any subdirectories are included in the storage quota.Do not create quotas of any type in the OneFS root directory (/ifs). A root-level quota can significantly degrade cluster performance.
YesQuota Accounting- Include snapshots in the storage quota
- Specifies that any snapshots that are stored in the directory path are included in the storage quota.
- Include data-protection overhead in the storage quota
- Specifies that any storage that is associated with data protection overhead is included in the storage quota.
NoQuota Limits- Track storage without specifying a storage limit
- Tracks usage without specifying a storage limit.
- Specify storage limits
- Specify limits for the storage quota, and configure limit notifications. You can specify three limits: advisory limit, soft limit, and hard limit. Advisory and soft limits can be used to trigger notifications to users before the quota reaches its threshold. A hard limit indicates that the quota threshold is reached, and can trigger a hard limit notification to be sent and prevent data from being written.
Yes - Quotas & Usage
- Provides a detailed listing of quotas that have been created, including quota type, quota path, and usage limits (hard, soft, and advisory).
- View/Edit
- View and update the settings of the selected quotas in the Quotas & Usage list.
- Delete
- Delete the selected quota or quotas in the Quotas & Usage list.
- Unlink
- Unlink the selected quota in the Quotas & Usage list.
