Help on Data Protection > SyncIQ > Settings

The following information and controls appear on Data Protection > SyncIQ > Settings.

Connect only to the nodes within the target cluster SmartConnect Zone
If a policy specifies the target cluster as a SmartConnect zone, the policy will connect only to nodes in the specified SmartConnect zone. This setting can be overridden per policy when a policy is configured.
Run the policy on all nodes in this cluster
Runs policies on all nodes in the source cluster. This setting can be overridden per policy when a policy is configured.
Run the policy only on nodes in the specified subnet and pool
Runs policies on the nodes in the specified subnet and pool. This setting can be overridden per policy when a policy is configured.
Keep Reports For <integer> <time>
Determines the default amount of time that replication reports are retained for. After the specified expiration period has passed for a report, SyncIQ automatically deletes the report. This setting can be overridden per policy when a policy is configured.

Some units of time are displayed differently when you view a report than how you originally enter them. Entering a number of days that is equal to a corresponding value in weeks, months, or years results in the larger unit of time being displayed. For example, if you enter a value of 7 days, 1 week appears for that report after it is created. This change occurs because SyncIQ internally records report retention times in seconds and then converts them into days, weeks, months, or years for display.

Number of Reports to Keep Per Policy
The maximum number of reports that SyncIQ will retain for each replication you want to retain at a time for a replication policy. If SyncIQ attempts to create a report for a policy, and the maximum number of reports for that policy has already been reached, SyncIQ will delete an older report to make room for the newer report.
Enable RPO Alerts
Allows replication policies to create Recovery Point Objective (RPO) alerts. An RPO alert is an alert that SyncIQ creates if the RPO configured for a policy is exceeded. For example, assume you configure an RPO of 5 hours for a policy; the policy starts a job at 1:00 PM and the job completes at 3:00 PM; a second job starts at 3:30 PM; if the second job does not complete by 6:00 PM, SyncIQ will create an RPO alert.
