The following information and controls appear on
.- SnapshotIQ Status
- Displays whether a SnapshotIQ license has been activated on the cluster.
- Versions/licensing info
- Links to the page.
- Total Number of Saved Snapshots
- Displays the total number of snapshots that exist on the cluster.
- Total Number of Snapshots Pending Deletion
- Displays the total number of snapshots that were deleted on the cluster since the last snapshot delete job was run. The space consumed by the deleted snapshots is not freed until the snapshot delete job is run again.
- Total Number of Snapshot Aliases
- Displays the total number of snapshot aliases that exist on the cluster.
- Capacity Used by Saved Snapshots
- Displays the total amount of space consumed by all snapshots.
- Most Recent Snapshots
- This table lists the most recent snapshots created by SnapshotIQ.
- View all saved snapshots
- Opens the page.
- Created
- Displays the date that the snapshot was created.
- Name / Path
- Displays the name of the snapshot and the path of the directory referenced by the snapshot.
- Size
- Displays the amount of data stored by the snapshot.
To reduce disk-space usage, snapshots that reference the same directory reference each other, with older snapshots referencing newer snapshots. If a snapshot references data stored by another snapshot, the data is not freed until both snapshots are deleted. Therefore, deleting a snapshot might not free the entire amount of space displayed because another snapshot might be referencing the data stored by the snapshot.
- Expires
- The date at which SnapshotIQ will automatically delete the snapshot.
- Select an action
- This menu lists actions that can be applied to all snapshots simultaneously. If you select an action, that action will be applied to each snapshot whose check box has been selected.
- Delete
- Deletes all selected snapshots.
- Capture a new snapshot
- Opens a dialog box that allows you to create a snapshot.
- Snapshot Name
- Determines the name of the snapshot.
- Directory Path
- Determines the directory that the snapshot will reference.
- Create an Alias
- Determines whether to create a snapshot alias for the snapshot.
- Alias Name
- Determines the name of the snapshot alias.
- Snapshot Expiration
- Determines whether the snapshot will be automatically deleted by OneFS after a specified period of time.
- Snapshot Expires on
- Determines when the snapshot will be automatically deleted by OneFS after a specified period of time.
- Capture
- Creates the snapshot according to the specified settings.
- Cancel
- Cancels snapshot creation.
- Delete
- Deletes the snapshot.
- View details
- Displays more detailed information about the snapshot.
- Edit
- Allows you to edit the field.
- Save
- Saves your changes to the field.

- Cancels the changes you made.

- Pending Snapshots
- This table lists times that snapshot schedules will create snapshots.
- View all snapshot schedules
- Opens the page.
- Next Run
- Displays a time that the schedule will create a snapshot.
- Schedule Name / Path
- Displays the name of the snapshot schedule followed by the path of the directory that will be referenced by the snapshot created by the schedule.
- Select an action
- This menu lists actions that can be applied to all snapshot schedules simultaneously. If you select an action, that action will be applied to each snapshot schedule whose check box has been selected.
- Delete Schedule
- Deletes all selected snapshot schedules.
- Create a snapshot schedule
- Opens a dialog box that allows you to create a snapshot schedule.
- Schedule Name
- Determines the name of the snapshot schedule.
- Naming Pattern for Generated Snapshots
- Specifies the pattern that snapshots generated by the schedule are named according to.
- Directory Path
- Determines the directory that will be captured by snapshots created by the schedule.
- Snapshot Frequency
- Specifies when snapshots will be generated by this schedule.
- Daily
- Specifies schedule in terms of days.
- Weekly
- Specifies schedule in terms of weeks.
- Monthly
- Specifies schedule in terms of months.
- Yearly
- Specifies schedule in terms of years.
- Generate snapshot every <integer> <day>
- Creates snapshots only after the specified number of days or weekdays have passed. For example, if you specified "2 days", the schedule would create a snapshot every other day. However, if you specified "2 weekdays", starting on a Monday, the schedule would create a snapshot first on Wednesday, then on Friday, then on Tuesday, and so on.
- Generate one snapshot per specified day
- Creates a snapshot once each specified day.
- Generate snapshot at
- Creates a snapshot at the specified time.
- Generate multiple snapshots per specified day
- Creates multiple snapshots on each specified day.
- Generate snapshot every <integer> <time>
- Creates a snapshot on the specified interval.
- Beginning at
- Specifies the first time to create a snapshot on a specified day.
- Ending at
- Prevents snapshots from being created after the specified time on a specified day.
- Generate snapshot every <integer> week(s)
- Creates snapshots only after the specified number of weeks have passed. For example, if you specify "2 weeks", the schedule would create snapshots every other week.
- Monday
- Creates snapshots on Mondays of the given weeks.
- Tuesday
- Creates snapshots on Tuesdays of the given weeks.
- Wednesday
- Creates snapshots on Wednesdays of the given weeks.
- Thursday
- Creates snapshots on Thursdays of the given weeks.
- Friday
- Creates snapshots on Fridays of the given weeks.
- Saturday
- Creates snapshots on Saturdays of the given weeks.
- Sunday
- Creates snapshots on Sundays of the given weeks.
- Generate snapshot every <integer> month(s)
- Creates snapshots only after the specified number of months have passed. For example, if you specify "2 months", the schedule would create snapshots every other month.
- Select snapshot day by
- Determines whether you can specify which days snapshots are created by a day of the week or a specific date.
- Generate snapshot on the <variable> <weekday>
- Creates snapshots only on the specified day of the week.
- Generate snapshot on the <variable> {Day | Weekday}
- Creates snapshots only on the specified day of the month. For example, you can configure a schedule to create snapshots on the first day of each month or on the third weekday of each month.
- Generate snapshot every <month>
- Creates snapshots only in the specified month.
- Generate snapshot on the <variable> <weekday> of <month>
- Creates snapshots only on the specified day of the month.
- Create an Alias
- Determines whether to create a snapshot alias for the most recent snapshot created by the schedule.
- Alias Name
- Determines the name of the snapshot alias.
- Snapshot Expiration
- Determines whether snapshots are automatically deleted by SnapshotIQ after existing on the cluster for a specified length of time.
- Snapshots expire <integer> <time> after creation
- Determines the amount of time that a snapshot will exist on the cluster before SnapshotIQ automatically deletes the snapshot.

- Creates a snapshot schedule according to the specified settings.
