The following information and controls appear on
.- SnapshotIQ Status
- Displays whether a SnapshotIQ license has been activated on the cluster.
- Total Number of Saved Snapshots
- Displays the total number of snapshots.
- Total Number of Snapshots Pending Deletion
- Displays the total number of snapshots that were deleted since the last snapshot delete job was run. The space consumed by these deleted snapshots will not be freed until the snapshot delete job is run again.
- Total Number of Snapshot Aliases
- Displays the total number of snapshot aliases.
- Capacity Used by Saved Snapshots
- Displays the total amount of space consumed by all snapshots.
- Save File System Snapshots
- This table lists all snapshots.
- Created
- Displays the date that the snapshot was created.
- Name / Path
- Displays the name of the snapshot and the path of the directory referenced by the snapshot.
- Size
- Displays the amount of data stored by the snapshot.
To reduce disk-space usage, snapshots that reference the same directory reference each other, with older snapshots referencing newer snapshots. If a snapshot references data stored by another snapshot, the data is not freed until both snapshots are deleted. Therefore, deleting a snapshot might not free the entire amount of space displayed because another snapshot might be referencing the data stored by the snapshot.
- Expires
- The date at which SnapshotIQ will automatically delete the snapshot.
- Select an action
- This menu lists actions that can be applied to all snapshots simultaneously. If you select an action, that action will be applied to each snapshot whose check box has been selected.
- Delete
- Deletes all selected snapshots.
- Capture a new snapshot
- Opens a dialog box that allows you to create a snapshot.
- Snapshot Name
- Determines the name of the snapshot.
- Directory Path
- Determines the directory that the snapshot will reference.
- Create an Alias
- Determines whether to create a snapshot alias for the snapshot.
- Alias Name
- Determines the name of the snapshot alias.
- Snapshot Expiration
- Determines whether the snapshot will be automatically deleted by OneFS after a specified period of time.
- Snapshot Expires on
- Determines when the snapshot will be automatically deleted by OneFS after a specified period of time.
- Capture
- Creates the snapshot according to the specified settings.
- Cancel
- Cancels snapshot creation.
- Delete
- Deletes the snapshot.
- View details
- Displays more detailed information about the snapshot.
- Edit
- Allows you to edit the field.
- Save
- Saves your changes to the field.
- Cancel
- Cancels the changes you made.
- Hide Details
- Hides more detailed information about the snapshot.
- Close
- Hides more detailed information about the snapshot.
- View snapshot aliases
- Displays the
Snapshot Aliases table.
- Snapshot Aliases
- This table lists all snapshot aliases.
- Created
- Displays the time that the snapshot alias was created.
- Alias Name / Path
- Displays the name of the snapshot alias followed by the path of the snapshot referenced by the alias.
- View details
- Displays more detailed information about the snapshot alias.
- Alias Name
- Displays the name of the snapshot alias.
- Directory Path
- Displays the path of the snapshot referenced by the alias.
- Last Updated
- The last time that the alias began referencing a new snapshot.
- Most Recent Snapshot Name
- The name of the snapshot that the alias is currently referencing.
- Most Recent Snapshot ID
- The ID of the snapshot that the alias is currently referencing.
- Most Recent Snapshot Size
- The size of the snapshot that the alias is currently referencing.
- Snapshot Expiration
- The time that snapshot that the alias is currently referencing will be automatically deleted by OneFS.
- Edit
- Allows you to edit the field.
- Save
- Saves your changes to the field.
- Cancel
- Cancels the changes you made.
- Hide Details
- Hides more detailed information about the snapshot.
- Close
- Hides more detailed information about the snapshot.
- Delete alias
- Deletes the snapshot alias.
