The following information and controls are available at Cluster Management > General Settings > Join Mode.

Settings

The join mode specifies how a node can added to the EMC Isilon cluster and whether authentication is required.

Mode: Select the Manual radio button if you want to manually add a node to the cluster without requiring authorization.; Select the Secure radio button if you want to require authorization for every node added to the cluster. The node must be added through the OneFS web administration interface, or by running the following command at the OneFS command line interface:
isi devices node add <unconfigured_node_serial_no>
