- This table lists all alerts.
- Create an Alert
- Opens a page that allows you to create an alert.
- Name
- Specifies the name of the new alert.
- Create an Alert Channel
- Opens a page that allows you to create an alert channel.
- Alert Channels
- This table lists all alert channels. You can select an alert channel to associate it with the new alert.
- Event Group Categories
- Lists all event group categories. You can select a category to associate it with the new alert.
- Event Group ID
- Specifies the event group you would like the alert to report on.
- Add Another Event Group ID
- Adds another event group ID field under Event Group ID.
- Condition
- Specifies the condition that will trigger the alert. Depending on the alert condition you select, other settings will appear.
- Send an alert only if the event lasts longer than
- Specifies a number and time value for how long you would like an event to exist before the alert reports on it.
- Maximum Alert Limit
- Specifies the maximum number of alerts that can be sent out for new events.
- Interval
- Specifies a number and time value for how frequently you want the alert to report on an ongoing event.
- Create Alert
- Creates the new alert.
- Select an action
- Applies the specified action to all event groups that you have selected.
- Delete selections
- Deletes all checked alerts.
- Name
- Displays the name of the alert.
- Alert Channels
- Displays the channels associated with the alert.
- Event Group Category or IDs
- Displays the event group or groups associated with the alert.
- Condition
- Displays the current condition of the alert.
- Actions
- View / Edit
- Displays alert details.
- Edit Alert
- Enables you to edit alert settings.
- Close
- Closes the dialog box.
- Save Changes
- Saves changes to the alert settings.
- More
- Displays additional actions.
- Delete
- Deletes the alert
- Copy
- Creates a copy of the alert and opens the Alert Settings for the new alert.
- Alert Channels
- This table lists all alert channels.
- Create an Alert Channel
- Opens a page that allows you to create an alert channel.
- Name
- Specifies the name of the new alert channel.
- Enable this Channel
- Specifies whether the channel is active and will deliver alerts.
- Type
- Specifies the delivery mechanism for the channel. Depending on the delivery mechanism you select, settings options on the rest of the page will change.
- SMTP Settings
- Display when
Type is set to SMTP.
- Send to
- Specifies an email address that will receive alerts on this channel.
- Add Another Email Address
- Adds another email field under Send to:.
- Use global SMTP server settings
- Specifies that the channel will use the server settings specified on the

- Manually configured SMTP server settings
- Specifies that the channel will use the SMTP server settings that display when you select this option.
- Send From
- Specifies the email address you want to appear in the from field of alert emails.
- Subject
- Specifies the text you want to appear on the subject line of alert emails.
- SMTP Host or Relay Address
- Specifies the SMTP host or relay address.
- SMTP Relay port
- Specifies the number of your SMTP relay port.
- Use SMTP Authentication
- Specifies that your SMTP server will use the authentication measures that display when you select this option.
- Username
- Specifies the username for your SMTP server.
- Password
- Specifies the password for your SMTP server.
- Connection Security
- Specifies the connection security for your SMTP server. Choices are NONE or STARTTLS.
- Notification Batch Mode
- Specifies whether alerts will be batched together, by severity, or by category.
- Notification Email Template
- Specifies whether emails will be created from a standard or custom email template.
- Custom Template Location
- Specifies the location of the custom email template on your cluster.
- SNMP Settings
- Display when
Type is set to SNMP.
- Community
- Specifies your SNMP community string.
- Host
- Specifies your SNMP host name or address.
- Allowed Nodes
- Specifies the node number of anode in the cluster that is allowed to send alerts through this channel.
- Add another node
- Adds another field under Allowed Nodes.
- Excluded Nodes
- Specifies the node number of a node in the cluster that is not allowed to send alerts through this channel.
- Exclude another node
- Adds another field under Excluded Nodes.
- Create Alert Channel
- Creates the new alert channel.
- Select an action
- Applies the specified action to all alert channels that you have selected.
- Delete selections
- Deletes all checked alert channels.
- Send Test Alert
- Test Message
- Specifies the message that will be sent in the test alert.
