The following information and controls appear on Access > Authentication Providers > File Provider.

Add a file provider
Opens a dialog box that enables you to add a file authentication provider.
File Provider Name
Specifies the name of the file provider.
Users File
Specifies the location of the spwd.db user replacement database file. Enter the path or browse for the file.
Groups File
Specifies the group replacement database file. Enter the path or browse for the file.
Netgroups File
Specifies the netgroup replacement database file. Enter the path or browse for the file.
Authenticate users from this provider
Select to enable the file provider to respond to authentication requests in addition to identity lookups. Otherwise, the file provider will only respond to identity lookups.
Home Directory Naming
Specifies a path to use as a template for naming home directories. The path must begin with /ifs and can contain expansion variables such as %U.
Create home directories on first login
Select to create a home directory the first time a user logs in, if a home directory does not already exist for the user.
UNIX Shell
Specifies a path to the login shell for users who access the OneFS file system through SSH.
Browse
Opens a dialog box that enables you to locate and select a file from the OneFS file system.
Cancel
Cancels the creation of the file provider and closes the dialog box.
Add File Provider
Adds the new file provider to the system.
File Providers
Table that displays a list of file providers currently in the system.
Select an action
Lists actions that can be applied to multiple file providers simultaneously.
Delete
Bulk action that deletes from the system each file provider whose check box has been selected.
Provider Name
Displays the name of the file provider.
Status
Displays whether the file provider is enabled or disabled in the system.
View details
Expands the table to display the current attributes of the file provider.
Edit
Enables you to make modifications to the file provider settings.
Hide details
Contracts the table to hide information about the file provider.
Delete
Deletes the file provider from the system.
Close
Contracts the table to hide information about the file provider.
