Cluster monitoring
You can monitor the health, performance, and status of the Isilon cluster.
Using the OneFS dashboard from the web administration interface, you can monitor the status and health of the OneFS system. Information is available for individual nodes, including node-specific network traffic, internal and external network interfaces, and details about node pools, tiers, and overall cluster health. You can monitor the following areas of the Isilon cluster health and performance:
- Node status
- Health and performance statistics for each node in the cluster, including hard disk drive (HDD) and solid-state drive (SSD) usage.
- Client connections
- Number of clients connected per node.
- New events
- List of event notifications generated by system events, including the severity, unique instance ID, start time, alert message, and scope of the event.
- Cluster size
- Current view: Used and available HDD and SSD space and space reserved for the virtual hot spare (VHS).
- Cluster throughput (file system)
- Current view: Average inbound and outbound traffic volume passing through the nodes in the cluster for the past hour.
- CPU usage
- Current view: Average system, user, and total percentages of CPU usage for the past hour.
