ECS allows you to monitor and manage disks.

All the current generation 1, 2 & 3 hardware are supported for monitoring the disk status.

Replacing a disk by a user using the ECS UI is only supported for:

  • Gen3 Hardware (all EX-Series)
  • Gen2 Hardware (only U-Series)
NOTE: For hardware other than above, a support request is required, to replace disks.

The supported disk types are:

  • NVMe SSD
  • HDD
  • SSD (used for SSD read cache functionality only)

Following is a description of the disk color coding:

  • Red: These disks require your attention.
  • Yellow : These disks are having problems and are recovering. No action required.
  • Blue: These disks require your action.
  • Green: These disks are operating normally.
